Job Listing – IT Security Engineer
Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaborating on cyber-security policies and then implementing those policies and any related hardware and software throughout WPLG’s computing infrastructure as well as investigating and mitigating security incidents. The ideal candidate must understand how to protect systems, data and networks. The IT Security Engineer will also need to work with vendors to administer and maintain equipment and contracts.
Job Requirements:
The ideal IT Security Engineer candidate needs to be a hands-on self-motivated employee with the ability to handle the pressure of television broadcasting, a 24 x7 business, as well as possess the interpersonal skills needed to work in a team environment. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or related major along with a CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent and at least three years’ work experience in IT Security is required. Knowledge of Microsoft- domains, operating systems and applications- also required. The preferred candidate needs to have experience with security assessments, public key infrastructure, secure inter and intranet, multi-factor authentication, anti-virus and endpoint detection and response solutions, as well as incident response and disaster recovery procedures. The candidate must possess strong vulnerability detection and remediation skills across Microsoft and Linux operating systems. Familiarity with Crowdstrike, Taegis managed security service, DUO MFA, Zscaler, Proofpoint, Office 365, AWS and Manage Engine’s Endpoint Central will be helpful. The ability to seek, review, track and maintain support, hardware and SaaS and contracts is also required.
