Last week, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation ordered the temporary closure of several restaurants across South Florida following emergency inspections that uncovered serious health and safety violations.

Among the issues found were rodent and roach infestations, unsafe food temperatures, mold, soiled kitchen equipment, and a lack of basic sanitation supplies.
The establishments shut down include Cedeno’s Cuban Cafe in Plantation, Taco Shop Mexican Grill 2 in Miami Lakes, China Buffet in Hialeah, Oldays on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, and Mandeville’s Country Style Restaurant & Lounge in Miramar.
Below are the specific violations that prompted each closure.
As of this post, Taco Shop has not been allowed to re-open.
All the others places mentioned were allowed to re-open following ordered clean-ups and re-inspections.
