Son finds father stabbed in home

Investigators say no sign of forced entry

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – An investigation is underway after a son found his father, Izak Shrira, stabbed to death in his home in northwest Miami-Dade County.

Police went to N.W. 1st Place at N.W. 79th Street shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Neighbors stood in shock, telling Local 10 News Shrira’s son came to visit his father and found him dead.

The cause of death appeared to be a result of multiple stab wounds, detectives said.

There were no signs of forced entry , but when the son went inside he found his 66-year-old father unresponsive. A trail of blood was along the floor.

Detectives told Local 10 News some of Shrira’s personal belongings were also reported missing. Crime scene investigators arrived looking for a motive.

“It’s really scary,” neighbor Jean Pierre said. “I live on the block and I’ve got kids. I’ve got a 4-month baby in there.”
