Cleaning machine: Boy starts business in Cooper City to keep his neighborhood beautiful

COOPER CITY, Fla. – A 9-year-old boy from Cooper City is already a business owner.

His name is Dean and he’s in charge of “Clean Dean the Pressure Machine” and he started his own business.

“Well, we got cited. Then we got our own pressure washer. Neighbors jokingly asked us and then started my own business!” said Dean.

Dean says that the first time he ever pressure cleaned it was really hard, but it got easier as he got more experience.

Over time, his business gained more and more exposure and his father says the business is great for him. Not only because he’s getting paid, but because it teaches him real life skills at a young age.

“He’s learning to save his money. He’s learning to work hard. He’s learning to wake up early at 8 a.m. on a Sunday. Learning all that at a very early age,” said Dean’s father.

Dean doesn’t actually charge people an hourly rate.

He tells his customers to pay him what they believe a fair price is for all of his hard work.

Dean likes to have fun with it too. He writes himself messages as he cleans up all that dirt.
