DAVIE, Fla. – A 72-year-old man is facing 17 charges, including a first-degree felony, in Broward County.
Court records show Michael Stracener was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and lives in Pompano Beach. On Facebook, he claimed to have attended South Dade High School, studied computer science at Miami-Dade College, and worked in Fort Lauderdale.

Davie detectives believe Stracener’s income was from burglaries and thefts.
Inmate records show Davie Police Department officers arrested Stracener on Saturday and Broward Sheriff’s Office detention deputies were holding him at the main jail on Sunday in Fort Lauderdale.
Stracener is facing a charge of burglary/dwelling structure or conveyance armed, a first-degree felony. He is also facing 16 third-degree felony charges: 13 counts of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance; grand theft of more than $750 and less than $5,000; grand theft auto; and possession of burglary tools with intent to use.
Records show Broward County Circuit Judge Michael Lynch is set to preside over the pending case filed on Sunday in the Central Courthouse. Stracener’s bond was $42,500.
