Demolition of Marjory Stoneman Douglas 1200 building delayed due to poor weather

PARKLAND, Fla. – The planned demolition of the 1200 building at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School has been postponed.

It was inside the 1200 building at MSD that a former student killed 17 students and faculty members, injuring 17 others.

The shooting occurred on Feb. 14, 2018.

Originally planned for Thursday, the demolition is now scheduled for Friday.

The three-story building has not been used since the shooting, sitting behind a fence on the high school’s campus.

With the shooter’s criminal trial over, the building is no longer needed as evidence and can be taken down.
