In a news release, Continuum Company revealed that it secured a $67.5 million loan to acquire the waterfront property, which is located at 1855 79th Street Causeway.
Shuckers, which is known for its famous Prime Rib sandwich, special grilled wings and fish dip, has been serving folks for 30 years.
Shuckers made national headlines in 2013, when its deck collapsed during a Miami Heat watch party during game 4 of the NBA Finals.
Two dozen people were hurt.
Continuum says nothing will be changing at Shuckers for at least 18 to 24 months as it continues working on its projects.
“Securing Shuckers Waterfront Bar & Grill and Best Western On The Bay Inn & Marina demonstrates Continuum’s confidence in the promising future of North Bay Village,” Alexandra Eichner, president of Continuum Florida said in the release.
The Shuckers property is adjacent to another Continuum waterfront development, which is called the Continuum Club & Residences.
The deal expands the company’s North Bay Village waterfront footprint to 4.5 acres.
