‘Hot Dog Heaven’ in Fort Lauderdale on market for $1.525 million

Seller is “looking for a young, energetic entrepreneur”

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – “Hot Dog Heaven” has been serving South Florida since 1979 and now the business is for sale for $1.525 million.

According to Andy Cagnetta, CEO of Transworld Business Advisors, who is in charge of selling the property for longtime owner Barry Star, the land where the restaurant serving Chicago style hotdogs stands is listed for $1.15 million.

The business is listed for $375,000. But the said the owner would really like to sell the business as a whole.

“The wish of the seller is to retire and find a young, energetic entrepreneur who wants to continue this brand,” said Cagnetta.

The Fort Lauderdale restaurant has been situated at 101 East Sunrise Boulevard for more than four decades.

According to the listing, a major development called 901 North is expected to be built nearby at the former Searstown site on Sunrise Blvd.

The project, owned by Aimco, a real estate investment company, would include three apartment towers which would house nearly 800 apartments. A hotel with nearly 200 rooms is also expected to be constructed in the area.
