Workers of the restaurant reached out to Local 10 News to say more than 30 employees were not informed of the closure before many were expected to start their shifts last week.

Earlier this year, the restaurant chain with locations all over the country, announced the closure of at least 36 underperforming restaurants.

According to a media release, the company said it would offer more than 1,000 transfer opportunities, which represents over 80% of total impacted employees.

“As we continue along our path of transformation to revitalize the Fridays brand and implement a long-term growth strategy, we see a bright future for TGI Fridays,” shared Weldon Spangler, CEO of TGI Fridays.
