Four months later, police took the accused gunman into custody.

Authorities arrested Quenton Nathaniel Moss, 32, on attempted murder and felon in possession of a firearm charges on Thursday. According to an arrest warrant, Moss had known the 54-year-old victim for 11 years and they had lived together until about five months before the shooting.

North Miami Beach police said on Aug. 3, Moss, who is homeless, went to the victim’s apartment in the 16600 block of Northeast 18th Avenue and drunkenly asked him to make him food.

Authorities said an argument ensued after the victim refused and eventually the two also began arguing about the victim’s cousin owing Moss money.

Moss grabbed a gun that was hidden underneath a couch and fired three rounds at the victim, striking him once in the thigh before running away, police said.

Miami-Dade police officers located Moss Thursday morning at Gwen Cherry Park, located at 7090 NW 22nd Ave. in the unincorporated Gladeview area, and took him into custody.

Police said he has a prior conviction for witness tampering.

As of Thursday evening, Moss was being held without bond in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
