MIAMI – Three women were shot early Thursday morning in Miami during a discussion about politics, authorities confirmed to Local 10 News.
According to City of Miami police Officer Michael Vega, who is also a spokesman for the police department, the triple shooting occurred just before 12:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Northwest 19th Street.

Vega confirmed that a group of people were drinking and talking about politics when someone went to a vehicle, retrieved a gun and began shooting.
He said three women were struck by gunfire.
According to Vega, one victim was hospitalized in critical condition and the other two victims were listed as stable.
