HIALEAH, Fla. – In a matter of seconds, two men stole a small dog from outside a family’s home in Hialeah.
It happened Monday afternoon and it was all caught on camera.
Now that family is desperate to find their little Yorkie, Mia.
Home surveillance video shows she was swiped from the driveway of the home off West 33rd Street.
Angel Achong, the dog’s owner, said people working in their backyard left a fence door open and she got out.
That is when two men driving a blue BMW SUV took her.
“She comes to him, they pick her up and they drove away with her,” he said. “It’s a blue BMW X3 or X5, and it’s a 2018-2022 model.”
The video shows two men approaching before one scoops the dog up.
In one angle, the pup is seen running to the front door to try and get inside before she turns back around.
The 6-year-old Yorkie is especially for Achong’s special needs brother, who has been lost without her.
“It’s his baby,” he said.
His message to the people who stole Mia was simple: “Please bring me my dog back. It’s my baby.”
On Thursday, the dog’s owner told Local 10 News the people who took Mia brought her back.
