Florida law enforcement asks for help with finding 4-year-old boy

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a statewide alert asking the public to help find a four-year-old boy who vanished from a park on Sunday morning in Volusia County.

Deputies and police officers with the Ormond Beach Police Department and Volusia County Sheriff’s Office were searching for Waylon Childs, who was last seen at about 11:45 a.m., at Central Park, at 601 Fleming Ave., which has interconnected lakes, trails, boardwalks, and a fishing pier.

According to the FDLE, Waylon wore a maroon shirt, maroon sweatpants, and gray shoes. He is about 3 feet tall and weighs some 30 pounds.
