KENDALL, Fla. – Kendall’s long-standing favorite fondue restaurant will be closing its doors after 39 years in business.
According to its website, the restaurant located at 11520 Sunset Dr. will close on Saturday, Nov. 30.

The announcement was also made on social media.
The Kendall location first opened in 1985, while the first Melting Pot opened in April of 1975 in Maitland, Fla., just outside of Orlando.
Earlier this year, there were reports of a possible location for another Melting Pot in Coral Gables.
According to the restaurant franchise, it is expected to be open to the public by early 2025.
The restaurant has 93 franchises nationwide including other South Florida locations in Cooper City, Coral Springs, Palm Beach Gardens and Boca Raton.
