FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ Travelers heading to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport this holiday season should brace for potential parking challenges as garages fill up quickly amid a busy travel period.

Airport officials reported at least one parking garage reached capacity early Wednesday, with others expected to follow as the day progresses. Many travelers were seen circling for open spaces, adding stress before their flights.

ā€œThe parking situation is barely full, but itā€™s not that difficult,ā€ a FLL traveler said, while others noted it can take time to find a spot.

Officials recommend using rideshare services to avoid parking delays, which may also be more cost-effective depending on travel distances. For those driving, FLL suggests checking the airportā€™s social media channels for real-time parking updates.

Long-term parking is capped at $20 per day, while short-term parking will cost up to $36 per day. Airport officials advise travelers to plan accordingly, as garages may reach capacity during peak times.
