“Luis brought everything that makes him one of the all-time great strikers to Inter Miami this year,” said Raúl Sanllehí, the club’s president of football operations. “He performed at an elite level and was not only our leading scorer but also a leader for the team. His impact has been extraordinary, and we’re thrilled to see it continue.”
Suárez, who led Inter Miami with 25 goals across all competitions this season, shared his excitement about staying with the club.
“I’m very happy and excited to continue another year,” he said. “The connection we have with the fans feels like family, and I hope we can bring them even more joy next season.”
The Uruguayan star played a pivotal role in Inter Miami’s record-breaking 2024 campaign.
He helped the team secure its first Supporters’ Shield and set a new MLS single-season points record. Suárez scored 20 regular-season goals—second-most in MLS, tied with teammate Lionel Messi — and contributed nine assists, along with a goal and an assist in the playoffs. He appeared in 37 matches across all competitions, anchoring the team’s attack.
Before joining Inter Miami, Suárez had an illustrious career with a résumé that includes a UEFA Champions League title, five LaLiga championships, a Copa América victory with Uruguay, and numerous domestic and international trophies from Europe and South America.
