Boucher, 36, of Loxahatchee, broke into the golf club, approached Brian Hiltebeitel, grabbed his golf clubs to hit him, and drowned him in a pond, according to the arrest report.

“This appears to be a random act of violence,” Palm Beach Gardens Police Chief Dominick Pape told reporters.

Boucher took his clothes off and ran away, but police officers eventually caught him. He appeared in court on Tuesday and was held without bond. Hiltebeitel was 65.
