North Miami celebrates Thanksgiving Day parade

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – North Miami hosted a parade on Thanksgiving Day morning and called it the 49th annual “WINTERNATIONAL” and named Scott Galvin, a veteran city councilman its grand marshal.

Students from the North Miami and North Miami Beach school marching bands participated in the procession of floats with the Miami Heat dancers.

They marched along Northeast 125th Street, from Sixth to 10th Avenue. There was a stage just outside City Hall. Police officers reopened the area to traffic at about 1 p.m.
