Senior U.S. District Judge Federico A. Moreno sentenced Thurn, 39, on Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to wire fraud related to Backstage Tickets, a fraudulent ticket re-selling scheme.

FBI special agents learned Thurn, of South Dakota, had provided an investor in South Florida with false receipts from third-party ticket re-sales that never happened.

Moreno sentenced Thurn to 46 months in prison and a three-year probation.
