Miami Dolphins, United Airlines team up to bring children from 2 hospitals to North Pole

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – It was a dream come true for a group of South Florida children on Tuesday as they were given the opportunity to catch a flight to the North Pole.

The children boarded a Boeing 737 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport that brought them to a special North Pole where they received gifts and met Santa Claus.

This was all thanks to the United Airlines Fantasy Flight, which brightened the holiday for children and families from Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Centers.

The Miami Dolphins organization worked to decorate a flight hangar just like the North Pole, filling the place up with Christmas presents.

The event was a big hit as the children enjoyed the winter wonderland and the thrill of taking off and landing on that United Airlines flight to the North Pole.
