Man shot dead outside Presidente Supermarket in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ Fort Lauderdale police investigated a deadly shooting in a grocery store parking lot late Christmas morning.

According to police, the suspect opened fire at around 11:15 a.m. outside of the Presidente Supermarket at 1035 NW Ninth Ave., near the cityā€™s Lauderdale Manors neighborhood.

Detective Ali Adamson, a Fort Lauderdale Police Department spokesperson, said medics took the victim to Broward Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

ā€œThe investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information about the identity of the suspect(s) responsible is encouraged to contact FLPD immediately,ā€ she said in an email to Local 10 News.

Authorities have not released the victimā€™s name as of Wednesday afternoon.
