MIRAMAR, Fla. ā An IHOP parking lot turned into a crime scene overnight in Miramar.
Police are investigating a triple shooting on Christmas morning outside the popular 24-hour restaurant that left two women dead.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the parking lot outside the chainās location at 11302 Miramar Parkway.
Responding to reports of a shooting, police found three adults who had been wounded. Paramedics took all three victims to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.
Two of them didnāt survive; one remained in the hospital as of late Wednesday morning, a Miramar Police Department spokesperson said. Authorities did not have information about the surviving victimās condition, but said he is a man and was under police guard.
Police and crime scene detectives worked into the morning, using flashlights and a metal detector to search through nearby bushes.
They also towed away two cars, including a white Acura with bloodstains on the side and a bullet hole in the trunk.
Authorities said the shooting was targeted and all parties knew one another.
Police havenāt released the names of any victims. They said they were not looking for any suspects but declined to elaborate.
Authorities said the investigation remained active and urged anyone with information to contact them.
