According to Miami-Dade police, officers received a ShotSpotter alert of gunfire near 14340 SW 260th St. in the Princeton area just after 4:45 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities said the victim drove to the 14000 block of Southwest 268th Street, just about two blocks away from where the Naranja shooting happened just before 6:30 p.m. the previous night — Southwest 266th Street and 138th Court.

Police haven’t said whether there’s any connection between the two shootings, or whether they’ve identified a suspect or motive in Thursday’s shooting.

Detective Andre Martin, a Miami-Dade Police Department spokesperson, said medics took the victim to Jackson South Medical Center where he was stable.

Anyone with information on either shooting is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
