DAVIE, Fla. – A pedestrian was seriously hurt in a crash that involved multiple vehicles in Davie Thursday afternoon, authorities confirmed.
It happened near the intersection of South University Drive and Southwest 33rd Street.
According to Davie police, the pedestrian was struck by one of the vehicles involved in the crash and sustained severe injuries.
The victim was transported to Broward Health Medical Center by Davie Fire Rescue, investigators said.
The intersection has been temporarily closed as police investigate the circumstances of the crash. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
Authorities have not yet disclosed what led to the collision or whether the driver involved will face charges.
