According to an arrest report from the Lauderhill Police Department, Shawntavia Latoria Brown, 33, was involved in an altercation with her 15-year-old daughter “due to ongoing disciplinary issues.”

Police said Brown “intentionally inflicted physical injury to her daughter” and then walked across the yard of her home and kicked her daughter in the face as the teen was on the ground.

According to the report, the strike fractured the girl’s lower jaw and left her with a broken tooth.

There were also abrasions and bruising around the area, authorities said.

Police said Brown’s actions were captured on her neighbor’s surveillance cameras and were “outside the scope of corporal punishment.”

Photos of the victim’s injuries were captured on police body-worn cameras.

Brown was arrested on a charge of aggravated child abuse.

She was no longer appearing in the online jail database on Friday.

It wasn’t immediately clear who currently has custody of the victim.
