Organizations like Animal Aid are working to place older dogs like Wishbone and Misty, both in their teens, with compassionate adopters.

“These golden oldies are the easiest to care for and just need a place to call home,” said Tamara, a representative from Animal Aid.

Both Wishbone and Misty are looking for new homes due to their owners passing and now wait for new families to step forward. Despite their age, these dogs bring endless affection and are known for their calm, low-maintenance nature.

“They’re so chill,” said JC Birch, Local 10′s Animal Advocate. “Misty just wants to love on you, and Wishbone is the sweetest little companion.”

Animal Aid encourages potential adopters to consider the unique joys of welcoming a senior dog.

By choosing a senior pet, adopters not only provide a loving home but also become part of an extraordinary journey filled with gratitude and unconditional love.
