Funeral held for man killed in Cutler Bay gas station shooting

CUTLER BAY, Fla. ā€“ A funeral service was held Saturday for a man who was killed late last month in a shooting at a gas station in Cutler Bay.

Family and friends of 56-year-old Vincent McCrow gathered at Jay Funeral Home in West Perrine for his memorial.

McCrow was shot at a Mobil gas station off South Dixie Highway and Caribbean Boulevard on the morning of Dec. 27.

Police said McCrow had been shot multiple times.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported him to Jackson South Medical Center in critical condition, but he later died from his injuries.

According to detectives, McCrow was involved in a discussion with another man at the gas station when the situation escalated into violence.

The man McCrow was speaking with initially left the scene but returned while officers were investigating, Miami-Dade Police Detective Andre Martin said.

ā€œWe are in the process of interviewing that individual, but we are also working with employees at this gas station to obtain any video evidence that can provide clarity on what happened,ā€ Martin told Local 10 News last month.

McCrowā€™s sister shared a recent photo of them together in happier times, expressing disbelief over his death.

ā€œHeā€™s been in some problems before, but for the past two years, heā€™s been doing his life right,ā€ she said. ā€œHe mostly stays home on the weekends, plays his music, and keeps to himself. I donā€™t even know why he was out.ā€

Police have still not made any arrests in the case nor released further details about the person they interviewed.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
