NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – A child who police said was abandoned outside North Miami Elementary School on Thursday morning has reunited with his family, according to investigators.

According to the Miami-Dade Schools Police Department, an unidentified man dropped off the child at 7:30 a.m. in a black BMW at the school, located at 655 NE 145th St.
Police confirmed that the man is a friend of the child’s family and had mistakenly dropped him off at the wrong school.
No other details about the incident were immediately released.
