PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Police officers reported Thursday that a 15-year-old Broward County boy faced a criminal charge after he used a Snapchat group to write a threat to “shoot up” a school.
According to the Pembroke Pines Police Department, the South Broward High School student wrote threats against Charles W. Flanagan High School on Wednesday night.

One of the students who was participating in the Snapchat group was scared enough to call 911 to report it and a law enforcement team later responded to the student’s home.
Police officers arrested the 10th-grade student and took him to the juvenile assessment center. He was facing a felony charge of electronic threats to kill.
