DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – Rescue crews responded to a house fire in Deerfield Beach early Sunday morning.
According to authorities, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews responded to a house fire along the 900 block of Northeast 50th Court.
As firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, a man was found inside the home who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second victim who authorities said was suffering from “a medical condition” was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities said around 40 firefighters responded and had the flames extinguished in approximately 20 minutes.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
