Deputies stop 2 cars in Miami Gardens to investigate firearm threat

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies surrounded a blue Dodge Charger on Monday in Miami Gardens.

According to MDSO, a deputy saw a guy in a car pointing a firearm at another car shortly after 10:20 a.m., on the roadway and requested backup.

Yellow crime scene tape blocked the entrance of the BP gas station at the corner of Northwest 167 Street and 12 Avenue.

Deputies detained the people in the Charger and a white sedan that was also behind the crime scene tape for questioning during their investigation.

Detectives reported they do not believe there was a road rage incident since they suspect that those involved knew each other.
