According to an arrest report, Sayda Orellana Castellanos, 52, was picking her daughter up from school Monday afternoon in the city’s Little Havana neighborhood when she became angry and frustrated that her daughter had her waiting for more than 10 minutes.

Miami police said Orellana Castellanos became more upset when she discovered that her daughter, whose age was not disclosed in the report, was late coming out of school because she was hanging out with a group of boys.

According to the report, Orellana Castellanos and her daughter got into an argument inside the car, at which time the mother called her daughter a whore.

Once they arrived home, Orellana Castellanos ordered her daughter to immediately begin doing her chores, the report stated.

Police said the daughter instead went to her bedroom to change out of her uniform first, which further angered Orellana Castellanos, who entered the room and began to verbally insult her daughter.

According to the report, a physical fight ensued at which time Orellana Castellanos grabbed her daughter by the hair and dragged her into the hallway while slapping her repeatedly in the face.

Police said the victim tripped on a piece of furniture and landed on the floor, at which time her mother grabbed a metal guitar that was attached to the wall and began striking her daughter with it, causing serious injuries to the girl’s body and face.

According to the report, Orellana Castellanos then grabbed a wooden broom stick from a closet and beat her daughter with it, causing it to break in half.

The victim’s 15-year-old sister witnessed the beating and provided police with video capturing the abuse, authorities said.

According to the report, the victim suffered multiple lacerations to her face, scratches to both sides of her face, a bruised right eye lid and marks on her back.

“These injuries sustained by the daughter show clear indications of permanent disfigurement,” an officer wrote in the arrest report.

Police said the victim was treated at the scene by Miami Fire Rescue and the Florida Department of Children and Families was also contacted.

Police did not confirm in the report who the sisters were handed over to.

Their mother, however, was arrested on charges of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and aggravated child abuse.

As of Tuesday afternoon, she was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where her bond had yet to be set.
