HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A 38-year-old man has been arrested on accusations of holding a victim captive for six days and raping her on multiple occasions in Hollywood last month.

According to an arrest warrant from the Hollywood Police Department, Antonio Paez held the victim against her will from Dec. 22 to Dec. 27, 2024, and threatened her by pointing a gun at her head and told her that she wasn’t allowed to leave his house.
Police said Paez then coerced the victim to remove her clothing and raped her on five separate occasions over the course of the six days that she was held captive.
This act of violence created a “well-founded fear within the victim that further violence would take place if she did not comply,” investigators wrote in the warrant.
Authorities said the victim managed to escape on Dec. 27 and called 911.
While speaking with Hollywood police officers, the victim received threatening text messages from Paez, stating that he would “put three bullets inside of her” and send her a photograph of himself and two other unknown males, advising he was waiting for her to return so he could “send her to heaven,” the report stated.
Jail records show Paez is facing multiple charges, including sexual assault with a weapon, sexual battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, writing a threat to kill or injure, and false imprisonment.
As of Wednesday, he is being held without bond and was placed on an immigration hold at the Paul Rein Detention Facility.
Detectives said the results of the forensic rape exam performed on the victim are still pending.
