Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Miriam Erice on Tuesday night at an apartment at 9520 SW Eighth St., in the Westchester neighborhood.

Erice was driving a white 2018 Buick Encore sports utility vehicle when she struck a 90-year-old man shortly before 10:40 a.m., on Thursday, at the parking lot of the Clinical Care Medical Center, at 7500 SW Eighth St., authorities said.

“The victim fell and struck his face against the ground. The subject then drove over the victim’s legs with the vehicle,” a deputy wrote in the arrest report.

Surveillance video shows Erice did not stop to help the man and drove away, according to the arrest report.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel took the man, whose condition was critical, to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital.

Correctional officers booked Erice at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. She was facing a charge of leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury.

Erice appeared in Miami-Dade County court on Wednesday and a judge set her bond at $5,000.
