“My sister, she was a loving person,” Vincent said in an emotional FaceTime interview with Local 10′s Sanela Sabovic. “She had so much of a heart, she loved everyone -- positive all the time.”

6 p.m. report:

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies said Barthold, who was visiting from North Carolina, went to see her boyfriend, 20-year-old Dominique Domond, at his home Monday night.

According to the arrest report, a woman identified as “Ms. Domond” told deputies that the suspect told her that he and Barthold were involved in an argument, which escalated into a physical altercation, at which time he pushed Janise from an elevated position out of the home via the back door.

She said Dominique Domond claimed that he had been attacked by Barthold and an unknown male.

What started as an argument quickly turned physical, with Domond now accused of killing her.

According to the arrest report, Domond confessed to choking the victim with his hands during the altercation and then picking up her lifeless body and “throwing it in the rear yard of the residence.”

Vincent, still reeling from the news, learned about his sister’s death Tuesday afternoon. He was denied entry to Domond’s home when he went searching for answers.

“I was so mad. Nobody told me anything,” Vincent said. “The last thing I heard was my sister was dead. I was really mad about it.”

An arrest report reveals that Domond gave conflicting statements to investigators but eventually admitted to choking Barthold and disposing of her body in the rear yard of the residence.

“I have to show (up) for her right now. Basically, I’m standing for her justice,” Vincent said.

Domond was denied bond Wednesday and will remain at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Vincent held a memorial for his sister on Wednesday night and has set up a GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses. Click here for more information.
