An 11-year-old girl said a group of kids was playing when they started screaming someone was drowning, so she pulled him.
“I was able to grab him and lay him on the deck I was getting ready to try to do CPR but he started breathing and I turned him on his side and fluid started coming out,” Tondra Hepburn said.
11 p.m. report:
Fire rescue personnel took him to the Broward Health Medical Center.
Police officers used yellow crime scene tape to block access to the pool.
Authorities told Local 10 News that the boy remains hospitalized but his condition has stabilized.
It marks the third near drowning in the past week.
