According to an arrest report, the victim called 911 around 7 a.m. to report that she had just left MIA in a blue GMC and was being followed by a black Mercedes-Benz.

Police said a responding officer from the Miami Springs Police Department spotted the vehicles and saw the Mercedes making various “aggressive maneuvers” through traffic in order to stay behind the GMC.

Police said the officer attempted to pull over the Mercedes, but the driver, identified as Geraldo Ulises Camellon-Fernandez, failed to stop.

According to the arrest report, the victim eventually pulled over to the side of the road in the 500 block of Curtiss Parkway and Camellon-Fernandez pulled over behind her.

Police said the officer then approached the Mercedes and saw that Camellon-Fernandez appeared to be unsure of how to place it in park.

Camellon-Fernandez then exited the vehicle at the officer’s request, the report stated.

According to the report, the victim was distraught and said she didn’t know Camellon-Fernandez and had no idea why he would be following her.

Police said a records check revealed that the Mercedes had been reported stolen.

Camellon-Fernandez was then taken into custody and a gun was recovered from a shoulder bag that was found inside the stolen vehicle, authorities said.

Police said Camellon-Fernandez waived his Miranda rights and claimed that he was trying to catch a flight to Cuba at the airport, but realized that his passport had been left inside his car.

He said he went back to the car to retrieve it, but then realized that his vehicle had been towed for improper parking, the report stated.

According to the report, Camellon-Fernandez claimed that he returned to the airport to try to get on the flight using a passport photo he had on his cellphone, but was unsuccessful.

Further statements he made were redacted from the publicly released report.

Camellon-Fernandez faces charges of armed grand theft of a vehicle, aggravated stalking and fleeing and eluding police.

According to the report, he is currently living in West Palm Beach.
