Boy, 15, accused of fatally shooting 18-year-old in Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of an 18-year-old man in Lauderhill, police confirmed Thursday.

An arrest warrant obtained by Local 10 News states that Richard Vassor is facing a charge of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon in connection with the fatal shooting of Marvin Alte on Jan. 16.

According to Lauderhill police, the shooting occurred at approximately 5:10 p.m. in the parking lot of the Inverrary Club Apartments, located at 2580 NW 56 Ave.

Authorities said fire rescue units transported Alte to Broward Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Local 10 News has requested additional information about the incident from the Lauderhill Police Department.
