MARGATE, Fla. – A Broward man ran over a woman moments after getting into fender bender with her, police say.

Margate Police say that Dylan Rogers, 22, got into a crash with the victim on State Road 7 in Margate last week.
According to the arrest affidavit, the victim says she was walking back to her car after the crash and that the “defendant accelerated his vehicle, striking the victim.”
The victim said that she was hit by the front bumper of the driver’s black Nissan Sentra, and then she rolled onto the hood of the car.
The report went on to say that after the victim rolled off the hood, her left foot was runover by the Sentra’s front tire.
The victim said she fell to the ground and immediately rolled out of the busy road to avoid being hit by another car.
She said the driver took off, leaving her injured at the scene.
Cops arrived and the victim gave a description of the car and driver.
About 10 minutes later and a few miles away, officers pulled over a black Nissan Sentra that matched the victim’s description of the car that hit her.
Police say that Rogers was behind the wheel and that he did not want to answer any questions at first.
But later, he reportedly asked, “say someone is in the same situation, what would the charges be?”
The victim was transported to the hospital with injuries to her knees, feet, back and shoulders.
Police say that the victim positively identified Rogers as the man who hit her during a FaceTime call from her hospital bed.
Rogers was booked into the Broward County Jail and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and failure to remain at an accident scene.
He has since bonded out of jail.
