MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – One person was airlifted to a local trauma center after a shooting in the rural Redland area of southwest Miami-Dade Saturday morning.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened just after 10:45 a.m. in the area of Southwest 168th Street and 197th Avenue.
Authorities said the victim, a man, was shot in the arm by an “unknown subject” and taken to Jackson South Medical Center, describing his condition as “stable.”
An MDSO spokesperson said deputies couldn’t locate a scene as of around noon.
Authorities haven’t identified a motive.
