The investigation was unfolding in the 900 block of Northwest 141st Street.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials confirmed that they responded to the scene just after 3:45 a.m. after receiving a “medical call, with reports of a shooting.”

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene later in the morning as evidence markers were on the ground outside a home, along with what looked like a piece of clothing.

The area was blocked off to the public with crime scene tape.

A neighbor told Local 10 News that he didn’t hear anything overnight, but woke up to find deputies in the neighborhood.

First responders said one adult was transported to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital as a trauma alert.

Deputies later confirmed that the victim was a woman. They said she is currently in stable condition.

MDSO did not immediately release any information about the shooter.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
