KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. – Ivan Mariotti just couldn’t shake off trouble, authorities say.
As Local 10 News reported in October, the 44-year-old Italian national had been accused of impersonating a security guard at a Taylor Swift concert at Hard Rock Stadium.
Then, in February, Miami-Dade deputies said he fled from a traffic stop near his home on Key Biscayne. He’s then accused of trying to take Deputy Bryan Battle’s gun, leading to an additional arrest on multiple felony charges.
Local 10 News obtained video of the Feb. 15 incident on Thursday.
“Get down on the ground,” Battle is heard saying to Mariotti.
Video shows Mariotti attacking Battle and then grabbing his body-worn camera and throwing it on the ground as the two fought in the elevator of Mariotti’s condo building.
But deputies and Key Biscayne police officer were eventually able to get him in custody by the “Swift” arm of justice, cuffing him.
Battle had to be sent to the hospital, authorities said.
Court records show Mariotti has a history of arrests in Miami-Dade, including a conviction for felony battery that earned him probation.
Those records show that Mariotti was later released on bond.
