Fort Lauderdale’s Good Luck Cat Café connects rescued felines with new homes

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Good Luck Cat Café in Fort Lauderdale is giving animal lovers a unique way to meet adoptable cats while enjoying a cozy atmosphere.

Local 10′s Animal Advocate Jacey Birch visited the café Friday, where she was surrounded by playful felines looking for their forever homes.

The café is run by Laura Summers, who operates Lady Luck Animal Rescue. She works to rescue cats and showcase them in the café in hopes of getting them adopted.

“This little girl is Libra, she is known as the speed demon of the cat wheel, and she loves to eat everyone else’s food, including hers!” Summers said.

Birch praised the mission of the café, calling it a great way to connect people with pets in need of a home.

“The goal is always to get them seen,” Summers said.

The café is open to visitors looking to interact with the cats and potentially adopt them.
