Deputies investigate after woman hospitalized in Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. ā€“ Authorities are investigating after they said a woman was found with blood on her face early Saturday morning in Pompano Beach.

Broward Sheriffā€™s Office deputies said they responded around 12:30 a.m. to the area of 2500 East Atlantic Boulevard, where they found a woman who was hurt.

They said Pompano Beach Fire Rescue transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Detectives with BSOā€™s Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit are working to determine how she was injured and whether a crime was committed.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene where several officers were in the area and one flew a drone to take pictures nearby.
