According to an arrest report, the incident happened around 11:40 a.m. Saturday.

North Miami police said the victim, who is over the age of 65, told officers that he was unable to park his car in a parking space because Jean Carlos Gil had his driver’s side door open.

Police said the victim honked his horn before finally being able to park.

According to the report, after the victim parked his vehicle, Gil began to yell and curse at him.

The victim told officers that he got out of his car and asked Gil in Spanish, “What is your problem?”

According to the report, Gil then got out of his vehicle while holding a knife and pointed it at the victim.

He then spat in the victim’s face before getting back in his car and driving away, authorities said.

The victim provided police with a photo of Gil’s license plate and description of his vehicle.

Police said Gil was pulled over after driving back to the scene later that day.

According to the report, he admitted to being in a verbal argument with the victim, however his full statement was redacted from the publicly released report.

Gil was arrested on charges of aggravated battery on a person 65 or older and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

As of Monday afternoon, Gil was no longer appearing in the online jail database.
