MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A 27-year-old man was arrested Monday, a day after he allegedly shot at a woman’s vehicle after she got into an argument with her boyfriend in southwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

The relationship between the victim and the suspect, Chaston Diante Hugue, of Miami, was not stated in the arrest report.
According to the report, the shooting occurred Sunday in the 11300 block of Southwest 165th Terrace.
Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies said that prior to the shooting, the victim had gotten into an altercation with her boyfriend at their home.
She told deputies that at one point, she became fearful, so she left the home and got into her vehicle.
The victim told deputies that she noticed her boyfriend and Hugue standing in the doorway of the home and saw that Hugue was holding a handgun.
According to the report, she then heard four or five gunshots striking her vehicle as she was reversing.
Deputies said the victim fled the scene and took a while to report the shooting as she didn’t have her phone on her.
According to the report, Hugue agreed to meet with detectives and provided some kind of admission, although his exact statement was redacted from the publicly released report.
Hugue was ultimately arrested on a charge of shooting a deadly missile.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Hugue was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $5,000 bond.
