DORAL, Fla. – After Air Force One landed at Miami International Airport, President Donald Trump flew to the Trump National Doral on Thursday and was set to spend the night in Mar-a-Lago.
Trump National is hosting LIV Golf, a Saudi-funded event with a roster that includes Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau, from Friday to Sunday.
Eric Trump was driving a golf cart with the president after the helicopter landed. Gov. Ron DeSantis was among the guests on Thursday.
After dinner, Trump was set to travel to his Mar-a-Lago Club in West Palm Beach and later a stop at the Trump National Golf Club Jupiter this weekend.

Trump left the White House on Thursday after his announcement in the Rose Garden of a 10% base tariff prompted a crisis.
Trump also signed an executive order that will impact imports from China and Hong Kong by Shein and Temu starting on May 2 by ending a duty-free exception on imported goods worth less than $800. The duty rate will increase to $50 per item in June.
“Our country has been looted, pillaged, raped, and plundered,” Trump said on Wednesday.

Trump’s trade war to replace income tax with tariffs impacted markets worldwide. He painted a rosy picture despite reports that U.S. companies had trillions of dollars in value wiped out.
“The markets are going to boom,” Trump told reporters outside the White House. “The stock is going to boom and the country is going to boom.”
The S&P 500 dropped 4.8%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 1,679 points. The Nasdaq composite dropped 6%. France’s CAC 40 dropped 3.3%. Germany’s DAX dropped 3%. Japan’s Nikkei 225 dropped 2.8%
“I think it’s going very well. We have an operation: Like when a patient gets operated on and it’s a big thing,” Trump said. “I said this would exactly be the way it is.”
