MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A suspect has been criminally charged, months after a man was shot at a gas station in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.

According to an arrest report obtained Monday by Local 10 News, Reinaldo Trujillo-Sanchez, 28, of Hialeah, was charged last Thursday with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
According to the arrest report, the shooting occurred around 8:20 a.m. on Jan. 29 at a Mobil gas station located at 10291 NW 27th Ave.
Deputies said they arrived at the scene and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and left arm.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he was treated for his injuries.
According to the report, surveillance video shows Trujillo-Sanchez approaching the victim and the two then got into a verbal altercation.
Deputies said Trujillo-Sanchez then pulled out a silver gun and struck the victim in the head with the buttstock of the firearm.
The altercation continued, ending with Trujillo-Sanchez shooting at the victim, the report stated.
Deputies said the victim identified Trujillo-Sanchez as the gunman in a photo lineup.
A motive for the shooting was not disclosed in the report.
According to authorities, Trujillo-Sanchez declined to speak with detectives last week. Deputies said the suspect was already being held Thursday at the Metrowest Detention Center in connection with a separate case.
As of Monday, the Cuban national remained in jail without bond and with an immigration hold.
