According to an arrest report from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, which does not detail the relationship between the suspect and victim, the alleged abuse occurred Sunday at a home in the 1300 block of Northwest 111th Street.
Deputies said the victim told them that the suspect, Daniela Raymond, 33, didn’t like the way he did the dishes so she grabbed a kitchen pot and struck him over the head with it, leaving a large cut to his scalp.
Authorities said Raymond then ordered the boy to place his hand on the kitchen table and she struck his left hand with the pot, breaking his middle finger.
According to the report, Raymond then proceeded to beat the victim with the pot on his arms and back and kicked him once in the stomach.
Deputies noted there were bruises left behind on the victim’s back, arms and stomach.
A statement made to detectives after her arrest was redacted from the publicly released report.
Raymond was arrested on one count of aggravated child abuse.
As of Wednesday, she was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond.
