PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Drugmaker Novo Nordisk announced Tuesday that Wegovy will be available through telehealth providers.
The providers -- Hims & Hers Health, Ro, and LifeMD -- will be shipping the weight-loss medication to patients’ homes.
Patients who don’t have health insurance coverage for the weekly injection may have to pay about $500 for a monthly supply in addition to the telehealth provider’s subscription fee.
The FDA approved Wegovy, a GLP-1 Receptor Agonist, for long-term weight management in 2021.
